2005 Update |
|
Reno Jones apologizes for the lack of
updating this page. We have been extremely busy working on our 3rd
album of all original music. We started recording back in 2002 and
have been working on it in between gigs and this crazy
Slab City project which we have
become so fond of. We are now in the mixing stage and plan to have
it finished by early April. "Welcome
to Slab City" (the documentary film featuring Reno Jones) is now
being edited with a planned release in the 3rd quarter of 2005.
As of the first of this year, we are
now represented by Kate Egan of
12th
Street Artist Management. We are proud that she has taken us
under her wing and she promises not to make us so big that we become
incorrigible!
We continue to grow as not only a
band but as friends and appreciate all of you that come out and
support us and make our gigs "great hangs." |

We're still reeling from what turned out
to be an incredible day for Reno Jones! Suffice it to say we were
(are) overwhelmed with the support and turn-out we had. More to come
in the weeks ahead as we compile photos, mix audio, and edit video.
We had more fun than a "Barrel of Monkeys" and special thanks (in no
order) to: Stan Goldstein, Duke
Collister, Harry Knapp, Marc Albanese, Bradley Steyn, Noelle Knapp,
Brian (Shooter), Steve Bush, Jan (runner extrodinaire), BG Glimpse,
Steve Kuhn, Andy Romanoff, Fuzzy (crane-ster), Elliott, David and
Amy LeBrun, Chris Kissinger and crew, Karen Tyler, Fred Murray,
Dona, John Leslie Walsh, Tony Dawson and crew, Little Zeke and
crew, Marilyn & Nance, Builder Bill, Handyman Jerry, Insane Wayne, Brad the sign guy,
and many others that I'm sure I can't remember until I come back to
earth.
Thanks again for a phenomenal
weekend! (More Details) |

Jones Hollywood CD Release Party draws great crowd - 11/12/00 |
|
Featuring guest Master of Ceremonies Frank
"Mr. Owl" Murphy formerly of The Mark and Brian Show and currently at
www.comedyworld.com, the
event went off without a hitch. Howie Shear (who produced Reno
Jones' CD) and his straight ahead jazz group "Minor
Distraction" played first. They did an hour set featuring
tunes written and arranged by Howie as well as some other band
members. Frank Murphy then entertained the crowd with his version
of "Let's Make A Deal" in which 3 contestants vied for
prizes ranging from gift certificates to "zonk" prizes
such as Spam Lite! There were celebrity guests such as Hoku
and Pete Candoli
and a portion of all of Reno Jones' CD Sales was donated to
Discovery
Arts, a non-profit organization that brings the arts to children with serious blood disorders and cancer.
Reno Jones rounded out the evening with an hour set. It is rumored
that there was a reviewer from The
Music Connection in attendance. We anxiously await his
verdict!
